The problem is that too many in the UK both pro and against the EU don't have a clue. For example a reform supporter on Facebook is arguing that a no deal Brexit will be great and nothing will change. Others are arguing that the UK could get exactly what it has before. All of them ignore reality

Yet another UK attempt to have the benefits of EU membership without the obligations. It has zero chance of going anywhere. It would seem that the British will never learn. Like Sisyphus, they are doomed to forever roll a rock up the European hill, never reaching the summit before it rolls down.

Unless, the UK committs free movement of persons, any single market access is out of the question. /2
When it comes to discussing EU matters before & since Brexit the common UK Govt theme, however it’s phrased, has been: “they need us more than we need them”, even in pro-EU times It’s bollocks of course & a disappointing attitude achieving nothing beyond alienating member states, & always will do
Can really feel the frustration level there Jacob...and I share it I'm beginning to think we are a hopeless case. I say that because even amongst (re)joiners on here the breadth of views on how it should be achieved is alarmingly wide and a high percentage is I'm afraid in cakeism country
That was totally the case when the UK was in the EU, and it's not going to change now. I compare El Pais, which majors on European and international affairs, with the little-Londoner Guardian, and despair.
