After 4 days of delay and countless phone calls to an outsourced luggage service/call center, I finally got my luggage from #AerLingus 🙄

"In thematic analysis, theory is a matter of picking an epistemological and ontological position in qualitative research rather than examining how qualitative research draws from theory and contributes to theorizing." This is exactly why I don't like thematic analysis.

Iddo Tavory and I wrote about AI in qualitative data analysis highlighting the vulnerability of thematic analysis and the value of theorizing journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

It's clear to me now that many really don't care about sociology as a discipline, but are simply using the moment to express their grievance and resentment toward the journals and departments that rejected them. Funny that this is the same group of people who are against "grievance studies."

Well, after more than 2 years of waiting (?), I'm thrilled to receive a rejection from the University of Memphis for a job I applied back in 2023 🤪 I guess this tells us something about how early career scholars are being treated in the current job market? #JobMarket #AcademicSky
