I still don't understand the chase for hyperrealistic graphics. Not once have I played a game that aims to look like real life and thought "wow, I feel so much more immersed because of how real this looks". Snappy, responsive controls have 10000x more impact on immersion than graphics ever will imo
The last two days have been a wild time of amazing people dying but I got to hang out with wonderful friends today, and look at lizards among roses so sometimes life just takes and gives I guess

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
Sometimes, when someone dies, what helps me is thinking about how wonderful it is that they were even alive in the first place. Dolly was the closest you could get to an American saint. We all loved her.

really is such a difference when i play retro games and they don’t hold my hand and point me in the correct direction at all times and highlight my objectives and give me bullet lists for every single thing. figuring stuff out on your own is so good for the brain even when it’s esoteric and odd
Sharing my art again online (specifically stuff from the last 6 years) has been a weird experience. Part of me still really loves these scribbles I made over the years and wants to share them, and part of me gets stuck on whether I’ve made things “good” enough to bother showing.
