It's the only Monster Hunter I've played that I wouldn't want to boot up and play again right now, and I can't point to any single thing (aside from thinking Focus Mode is fundamentally destructive to the combat) but a lot of it comes down to "turns out the clunk was load-bearing"
I still enjoy MH Wilds for what it is, but the longer I sit on it I genuinely think it's a massive failure in game design and I don't know if it's possible for the expansion to really fix that.
Weakness Exploit was *largely* fine as a reward for what you already want to be doing anyways, i.e. hitting the head/wings/tail. Riiiiight up until iceborne let you just put a weakspot anywhere you wanted, at which point it became absolutely insane. And then they just made it a core part of Wilds..?
Being able to have Weakness exploit, critical eye and critical damage maxed out should probably never be possible
Would highly recommend zen browser, has a bit of a learning curve but it's just bare bones (as far as it can be) Firefox. Sync with your mozzila account also works for bookmarks, extensions, ect.
