some #bars2026 highlights, as promised. Overall, an incredible conference. In general, everyone was so kind & generous with their time & conversation. Despite a precarious job market, ECR work was the highest standard I've witnessed, & there was a deep, comforting community spirit amongst us.

Fabulous few days in Birmingham for #BARS2026 (in person) with friends old and new. So many fantastic panels and a pleasure to present research from my new project on Bentley’s Standard Novels. Thanks to all who came along and offered feedback. Roll on next Thursday for the online day!
