My response to people who say families with a full schedule of activities for their school age children can't get by without a car.
The same street in Levenshulme, Manchester, one hundred years apart. The private motor vehicle is an invasive species, which gradually crowds out and suffocates the rich social life of our cities. When cars don’t dominate the streets, life flourishes.

I'm not qualified to judge whether such people are psychopaths. All I can say is that they behave as if they are. From today's Telegraph.

They are tired of people being killed. - person B would like to be able to drive where/how they want. Don't want to stop at stop signs, want to speed and want to be able to park easily everywhere.
There much to love about the husband and his habit of not giving up on houseplants can be a blessing and a curse! But fair play he’s coaxed this supermarket orchid back to life. What a display.

Every once in a while, I remember that Birmingham decided to just not do any of this. If we had, by now drivers would be more accustomed to a city in which "traffic flow" wasn't the only planning principle, and everyone would be enjoying more mobility options. A sad wasted opportunity.

Ikke bare norsk politi som måler feil. Politiet i Birmingham beslagla og destruerte en Tern-lastesykkel, fordi de klarte å få den opp i 40 km/t ved å løfte bakhjulet og dra pedalene rundt. At motoren stoppet på 25 km/t skjønte de ikke noe av.
