Just walked around my apartment's parking garage a couple days ago and (w/o meaning to) found SO MANY spots a bike hangar could go that would not in any way interfere with the car parking. I love my new Gazelle, but if I had a place to put a cargo bike, I would have one of those, instead.

This is why I don’t have a cargo bike (no garage) even though it would change my life. I would pay a lot of money for secure cargo bike storage close to my home! Why can’t some parking spots all over the city become that?

I just have to say, that popcorn looks so nice with my bike's yellow accent colors 🍿💛

Although the fencing is not currently blocking the bike path (though the loading truck was), the parks employee also told me that the plan included blocking the bike path through the park, over her own objections.

Speeding doesn't actually save you meaningful time. All it really accomplishes is aggressively increasing the chances that you kill yourself or someone else outside your vehicle. It's a mathematically flawed, entirely selfish risk.

We're finally joining the #carryshitolympics! It's a modest entry, but there's more there than it looks like. Also, we really need a dedicated cargo trailer. We had to lock our dog in the other room so he didn't get excited when we got his trailer out. 😅

I am getting more and more annoyed with the way Flicker is handling this upcoming festival in Minneapolis. It screams "outsider coming in and taking advantage of our parks and community spaces without appreciating the community that occupies those spaces" to me.

There are even more fences today. Many of them are blocking walking paths and require you to go around via the grass. Many times, the correct path to take to get around is unclear. Again, these will be here until next week, even though the event doesn't start until Friday.

It's only Monday, and there are already huge fences being put up in Loring Park blocking off big sections of the park. They are not currently closed, so you can get in, but they make navigating that part of the park very difficult and annoying. And they will be there at least until Sunday.

I know my bias is showing here, but AI users are SO lazy. Was at a market today, and a vendor with an AI menu not only started packing up way before the end of the market (a big no-no in the pop-up market world), but also dumped all their ice on the walking path and just left it there.

Many climate people have blind spots when it comes to cars and beef/dairy.

It is time for Mpls Parks to close this lot to the public (Mill Ruins Parking Lot). Allow access only for those who have an accessiblity need. Also, install light system for exiting cars (only on green light) and install warning beacons for ped/cyclists.

At the risk of discouraging people from taking the bus, I feel the need to say that I don't think there has been one single time I've taken the bus in the past several months that hasn't had at least one person playing music or videos on their phone speakers. Not even exaggerating.
