The Player of Games

Fields of Mistria is one of those games that is perfect for Steam Deck. I can play one or two days in a lunch hour then put it on suspend and go about my day feeling like I got something done

Crusader Kings 3 is a very good game but I wish it was a little better at storytelling, a lot of times things happen to characters like injuries without any explanation like if my child and heir comes home from a play date with a huge gash across their face I want to know exactly what happened

Ghost in the Shell anime have always suffered from exposition dumps, the new anime shows a picture of the guy they are talking about, which doesn’t totally fix the problem but it certainly helps

I keep buying Steam games because they are on sale knowing full well I have no time to play them unless they are on Steam Deck and even then I only have a little time. I've been out of town basically all summer and i'm going to San Diego next week but here I am buying Crusader Kings 3 DLC wtf

Recently found/bought all the Ghost in the Shell shows at BookOff and I also got these two great steelbook UHDs, Satoshi Kon’s Perfect Blue and George Cosmatos (Kurt Russell’s) Tombstone 📼💿📽️

Perfect Blue and Tombstone steelbooks

were up to me I probably wouldn't eliminate physical media for my forthcoming console right on the heels of delisting hundreds of digital movies from people's libraries and while on the cusp of a world historical digital storage supply squeeze, but I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.

I have trouble believing the casuals will blindly consume what Sony is selling, especially the youth who have no platform loyalty of any kind. I think the most likely outcome for the short term is decline for consoles and more alternatives to that model.

-Sony decides the prices, possibly dynamic pricing -You can't buy codes from third-party vendors anymore -They're killing their old digital stores so you can't buy older, cheaper versions -They just removed like 500-ish movies from people accounts based on licensing

Started rewatching Ghost in the Shell ARISE, in my memory it’s my favorite iteration of the series and the first ova kills it, what a great origin story for Section 9. I love that they turn several themes of Gits (military service, false memories, murder procedural) back on the character of Kusanagi
