This arrived this week. At 896 pages, it is now officially my largest (well, thickest anyway) book of Jack Kirby. This is without the dust jacket on it. I'm also excited that two more Kirby/Gilberton/Classics Illustrated comics are due in the mail today, bringing me closer to finishing that set.

Our financial/medical insurance advisor came to our house and we had a great meeting out on the porch wherein I now have my Medicare and other medical insurance fully designed,and she is closer to getting all of her retirement stuff straight.

A pretty spider, with her belly facing us. Ironically, I was looking for the frog that lives nearby, but spider-pal popped up instead. A fairly large one, legs about two (or more) inches across.
The Robot from "The Vanishing Shadow" serial (1934) finally turned up in chapter 11 of 12! He is a rather nicely-designed one. Here he appears and escapes from his home into the night-for-night shoot, which is a great touch for his first sequence.

Here is a 'Kirby Mystery' piece. I bought this book recently in order to get the "half page" of Jack Kirby/Dick Ayers art a checklist said it contained. Upon examination of the book I could initially find none, and the GCD credits the page differently than the Kirby Checklist.
