One thing I’m noticing is that one rogue person not embedded with the team (or on the team but not empowered to drive decisions) will do or say some bullshit with genAI, even if it doesn’t reflect the team’s practices. and it is MUCH harder to dispel that narrative once it’s out there.

They’re being asked “Can you afford to turn down a guaranteed fifty grand” and for most people, the answer is going to be “No”, regardless of how many times you tell them it’s obviously better to flip the coin.

It's all pretty bleak, but there *are* tiny shreds of hope.
