Zach Weinersmith@zachweinersmith.bsky.social · 2w agoLately I've been learning about the medieval notion of "Acedia," one of the cardinal sins, variously described as some combination of despair and restlessness. Getting nothing done, but also not experiencing relaxation.
As time goes on, my academic resumé looks more and more imaginary. The university that awarded my M.Phil. has renamed itself several times. My advisor both lost his job and dropped out of academia. At least two religion departments I taught in no longer exist. A wake of devastation in my trail.
It became perfect mandatory cartoon watching for a certain niche of university students, followed a few years later by Animaniacs.

Kim is a great writer, a great dev, and an even greater friend. I can't recall nor imagine a project that doesn't gain tons from having her hop aboard. Follow her, hire her, and all that stuff.
