Your reminder Rod Liddle not only said he couldn't have become a teacher because he "could not remotely conceive of not trying to shag the kids" in The Spectator, but he also wrote laws banning child pornography are "absurd" in The Guardian. Abhorrent.

I am so triggered by RJK Jr's comment about ICU's being empty during #COVID. I re-read what I wrote after one of the surges. How do others forget. The trauma was--and is--real.

This grotesque headline is from the Telegraph. 3,000 people in Britain have been killed in heatwaves this year so far. 20,000 in Europe. Even if Britain did get to “embrace Mediterranean life”, what about the actual Mediterranean, what do they get to embrace? What about India?

I don’t know why (or if, or when) it became illegal to take account of a company’s “values and ethics”- seems to me that considering whether a company founder holds values like “democracy sucks”, might be a good idea before handing massive chunks of public money & security apparatus to them?
I will remember Rod Liddle for the fact that the lawyer who checked my book before publication had no issue with me writing that Liddle couldn’t be a teacher because he’d have had sex with the students. Why? Because Liddle wrote it in a national magazine.
When they opened the schools, numbers went up. Poor children pay the price all the time in this country and yet now the media pretends to care about them, next week they will be back saying we should cut benefits. I would rather a few months of them missing school than being ill or making others ill

The irony is off the scale. I wonder if Rod Liddle was ever loved, or capable of reciprocation of love
Rod Liddle left his wife and 2 sons, and allegedly beat his pregnant partner, yet he chose to write about black families and fathers? Faux concern, barely concealed racism, utter hypocrisy.
As Rod Liddle has died, I notice this column I wrote in 2019 about his attacks on people with M.E. is on the most read again. Rebekah Brooks, of News UK, described Liddle today as “provocative”. In reality, he spread lies about very sick people for cash. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

This growth is largely attributed to “import dependence replacement” and filling the “compute gap” caused by U.S. export controls”📉 New assumptions.
