And there it is. The last grant that I was awarded as faculty, an R25 to support undergraduate research in aging & neurodegenerative diseases is terminated. In the 3 years it supported ~12 UF undergrads in the academic year and 15 summer students. Those students were kicking ass & doing great work.

A cross-propagating ultrasound wave exposes a thin tissue section that contains blood vessels feeding a tumor. The wave interacts with sound-scattering probes (displayed in orange gold) that are genetically expressed in cancer cells or are injected in the bloodstream to reveal capillary vessels.
