I'm not saying people aren't allowed to have opinions about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. I just think opinions about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict should be related to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. For example, you can make the sale of F-15s to the IDF about it but not fandom disputes.

Obviously the pandemic was horrific, but I will say that there was something nice about the slower pace of life during lockdown. I do think that powerful people are scared of lockdowns because they showed an alternative way of being in the world
Dave Andress@davidandress.bsky.social · 4d agoCovid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.
“Most” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. There are 8.4 million people employed in primary and secondary education in the US. Even if less than 1% died, that’s still tens of thousands of people
