i mean, the thing is that basically every major producer-state (Japan, now China) finds it hard to rebalance because it is a lot easier to boom on industrial production then it is with a more rebalanced economy

This isn't happening and Carlson has already laid the groundwork for supporting Vance by trying to propagandize his low performing listeners into thinking Vance is not at fault for this administrations actions with Israel and Iran.

Wallace was able to win states because of his regionally concentrated support in a way that's not really possible anymore. His best-case scenario is Perot '92 (somewhere in the teens, no electoral votes) but I don't think Carlson is a Perot. He's much closer to a Nader.

This is just rank Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism, based on the bigoted idea that there is something inherently scary about a president with the last name "El-Sayed." It is incumbent on all of us to call it out.

For federal elections, splitting the GOP into two competing crank Nazi movements would be great for Democrats. At the state/local level, however, we'd be condemning large portions of the South and Midwest to governance by Crossfit George Wallace's.
I would also argue it’s voters thinking like politicians. It makes sense for a congressman to be loyal or disloyal to Hakeem Jeffries - his sort of boss - but nonsensical to think that way about the relationship between candidates and voters.
