The Durham Fringe Festival is this weekend durhamfringe.co.uk I presume the thinking is to attract acts who nod off on the train to Edinburgh, jolt awake to see a castle on a hill out of the window and get off in a hurry
I was thinking of this book just last week when we went to "look for puffins" (although we weren't on the "Seabird Special boat trip") and I thought - I have successfully become a what Bill Oddie called a Dude As you'd expect, the book is affectionate to the hobby by being ruthlessly funny

A friend shared the map of Europe with everyone supporting Norway. Yeah sure, back the underdog I agree but again why does the petrostate with the all white team get the progressive kudos
The main takeaway here is that chip shop sauce is a highly localised delicacy and should receive Protected Designation of Origin status

Right. Okay. This requires some backstory. In 1984, a small, low budget film studio in North Carolina produced a parody of Star Wars, called Hyperspace. It was released in the U.K. as ‘Gremloids’. The main character, shown here, was Lord Buckethead.
