Pleased to see it out at last! Digging down into the lived experience and ways of thinking that objects, fabrics, scents etc brought with them onto the stage, in short chapters based around particular things (with colour images!).

I'm particularly proud of this section of my Introduction to Oxford World’s Classics edition of *Arden*. Race issues shouldn't be restricted to those plays traditionally put in a box labelled 'the race plays'. *Every* play written and performed at a time of huge colonial expansion is a race play.
I miss Damascus jasmines so much I took a risk on planting them in England. I never expected this to happen, but look at them in our garden!! 😍 One happy girl here 🥺
