Nearly 12,000 book bans took place in schools over the past year. Here in Illinois, we were the first to fight back and ban those very book bans. We stand for free expression, diverse ideas, and the right to see ourselves in the books we read.

I mean, lots of people said this was going to happen. And yes, ICE is straight up a secret police force and not really an immigration service. They have no business or jurisdiction to do this. But rules don’t count anymore I guess.

The internal documents, obtained by the Democracy Forward, showed that ICE's investigative arm also contemplated sending undercover agents to investigate the organizations.

It’s almost like “protecting women” never had anything to do with it.
