So we're on the verge of a much wider war in the Middle East, with a President who reportedly is yelling at advisers because no one -- especially him -- has any idea what to do next..... ... and the stock market skyrockets today. I don't get it.

Gray v. Georgia, _ U.S. _ (2028): Kavanaugh, J, writing for the majority: Since neither at the time of Founding nor in 1868 was there a history or tradition of imprisoning the parent of a child who commits murder with a gun the parent bought, this conviction infringes on Gray's constitutional right.
Breaking news: Colin Gray, whose son shot and killed four people at a northern Georgia high school in 2024 with a gun Gray had bought him, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Sam Altman clearly has zero imagination regarding what people wish for.
“What we need to explain to the world: Number one, we are close to creating a genie that can grant any wish. Number two, we are going to make sure that our first wishes broadly benefit humanity” - Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI — This is definitely the opposite of Anthropic’s AI kills all jobs pitch.
So... one month before my semester starts and I still have no idea what I'm doing with my course's semester-long 6000 word research paper in light of AI. Curious what others are doing/have done? Thanks!
All this. Plus, we all should stay in our lane. Just because we’re law professors doesn’t mean we know jack shit about accommodation needs and disability law/rules. Let those folks do their job. We do our job. And stop pretending we know all. We don’t.
To my past, current, and future law students: please know that your accommodations are not a "large advantage." They're a need. Legal education is broken in so many stupid ways. But what we are not going to do is normalize this kind of thinking. Let's go over why. 🧵

Any law professor who thinks it’s their business to judge a student’s accommodation should get out of teaching. Maybe go into practice fighting against disability laws.
Democratic Socialists really are ruining America.
Today Zohran is announcing that the New York City-owned grocery stores his administration is piloting will discount staple items 30%. Core groceries like produce, meat, seafood, pasta, bread, yogurt, butter, nuts, rice and beans will all receive this price cut.
On May 12, Jadin Aviles was in a bike lane, near Aramingo Ave and E. Tioga, when he was hit by a truck. It ran him over. Aviles died that night; he'd just turned 20. Aviles was a star basketball player, a leader, a volunteer. Now, North Philly mourns his promise: www.inquirer.com/sports/jadin...
I'm not enough of an admin law expert to know the answer here, but why when the antiabortion movement challenges the FDA and wins, the judges issue nationwide injunctions; but when the prochoice movement wins against the FDA, the judges remand to the FDA to fix the problem (which it won't)? /1

I was biking today just south of the Delaware Water Gap on the PA side and amidst the beautiful roads and farms it seemed EVERYONE had anti data center signs on their property.
It's hard to capture just how much rural Pennsylvania has swung against data centers. The ramshackle Trump-loving farm is now festooned with "No Data Centers" signs and so is the Grateful Dead-loving hippy cafe. It's as across-the-board opposition as I've ever seen.
I spent at least 20 minutes in class when covering Marbury v. Madison talking about different times when the answer to the first question is the President and other times when it's the courts.

What next? DEI bridges? "What, are you some kind of low-t cuck who can't swim across the river?" DEI stop lights, because real MAGA white men know that you get the right of way by brandishing a pistol?
Such inspired casting by Nolan in The Odyssey. Leguizamo as Eumaeus was SO GOOD. And John Fetterman as the Cyclops’ gangrenous testicle will get him a nomination.
Am I even really a law professor if I've never used the word hermeneutics in any of my articles?
