Any corporate CEO who makes claims like this should immediately be fired by their Board. This is not happening. It is an unserious proposal which, if meant seriously, only demonstrates the ignorance and foolishness of the person proposing it.

Great movie. Every once in a while someone will post the climactic shootout with a comment like, "Hell yeah! The workers beat the bosses!" and that's how I know they've never watched the movie.

its very telling that the mainstream media narrative is that dsa has wacky and unreasonable positions when the republican party position is that abortion should be banned, latino families should be put in concentration camps, black people should be shot by cops and transgender people shouldnt exist

Among other things, this suggests that Schumer and Gillibrand think of DSA in Cold War terms. DSA isn’t a bunch of underground commie cells - the members of DSA who run for office say so!

This kind of thing isn’t necessarily bad faith or corruption, but it absolutely should have been disclosed and it’s a bad look for a major candidate for public office to have acted in a way that leaves them open to the charge that they are dishonest.

Why is the WPBL playing ALL its games in Springfield, Illinois? Even if we accept the historical connection for holding the first game there, why all of them? I’m betting MLB barred access to minor league parks, but even so you’ve got college ball fields all over the place.
I worked at an amusement park. In the evenings we picked up litter in the parking lot. One night I found a lock mechanism that had been pried out of a stolen car. I gave it to the cops. Two weeks later they called with an update on MY stolen car. They’d transposed my name and the victim’s.

For decades, Republican elites have clung to the idea that they would be able to control the extremist, far-right popular energies on the base they kept stirring, “harness the magic,” as Lindsay Graham put it in reference to Trump, for their own purposes.
This guy lured investors with a 165-page "essay" linked in the piece. It's absolute balderdash. Unverifiable claims, flawed historical analogies, purple prose. Honestly, getting a humanities education from a liberal arts college was the best decision I ever made. We should make college free.
