Meyer's parrots 21-24cm across central, eastern, and southern Africa. Lifespan 20-35 years! Nest in tree hallow, female incubates 28 days, male feeds her, Parents feed chicks 9 weeks. The family remain together for several months after the chicks fledge. Flock with 50 or more for the winter.
