My parents are moving this summer so while I’ve been over, I’ve been doing a clear out. I think it’s time to say goodbye to my nearly 20 year old Betty & Veronica comics. (Genuinely surprised that they aren’t just dust tbh)
I’m back visiting family abroad as I’m on triplet duty on Monday while my sister deals with some bureaucrats. Somehow, I’ve been volunteered to play the violin (which I took a year of lessons in at school and did not improve beyond ‘Three Blind Mice’).
I really enjoyed Masters of the Universe! It was quite silly and *very* camp, but it was a fun romp. Nicholas was having a great time flouncing about in his little loincloth with his Farrah Fawcett blowout. I went with friends who grew up with the original cartoon and they also had a good time!
Not a teacher per se, but a boarding mistress. I identified as bi for a while as a teenager, she heard about it, and told me I couldn’t be without “experiencing both”. I then told the Head of Boarding, who was a fairly unflappable woman. She went red in the face and stormed off, all 4ft 10 of her.
Lower body workout when your glutes are still burning from skating 5 days ago? Terrible. Awful. 0/10. My arse is on fire.
