Today we beat Stephen Miller’s lawsuit mill in court! For 3 years I’ve been a defendant in a case filed by America First Legal on behalf of Gateway Pundit & a random antivaxxer we’d never heard of until she sued us. The plaintiffs claimed we “censored” them. It was a lie. They just lost.

Atlantic Council, and Graham Brookie (collectively, "Defendants"). Plaintiffs, Jill Hines ("Hines") and Jim Hoft ("Hoft") (collectively, "Plaintiffs"), filed an Opposition

For the reasons set forth, Defendants' Motion is GRANTED.

Was Hines v Stamos Cheryl Hines suing John Stamos over the long-awaited Full House/Curb Your Enthusiasm crossover? Nope, it was an attempt to suppress academic research into the organized manipulation of online platforms. After three years we finally won. But at great cost.

2. for that reason, I will be interested to see how the court reform movement on the left processes this ruling. 5-4 is a lot harder to sell as a stable victory. If anything this should make the klaxons blare louder
need to start thinking now about a full package of judicial reforms: new justices, new circuits, new district courts, ethics reforms, docket reforms, and transparency reforms.

Today, in a single day, @dwillner.bsky.social and I had meetings with people in England, Turkey, NYC, SF, Argentina, and Australia. Very inspiring to see four continents of folks all using Zentropi and united in the earnest work of building a better internet.
External validation on CoPE’s performance is always cool to see. We stress test and eval extensively ourselves, of course, but it never quite feels real until it’s in someone else’s hands.
