Bob Dylan Field report - July 31, 2026 – Atlanta, GA
That famous Folk Festival duet with Joan Baez? It's been written about for decades, and even reenacted in a biopic. But did it really happen?

Review of Bob Dylan's only concert in Vietnam, 2011. "Many of the Vietnamese in the crowd afterwards expressed with empathic concern their sadness that Bob had lost his voice before such an important concert" :-) www.christymoore.com/bob-dylan-in...
I did a Warhol “Factory”-style screen test at the Bob Dylan Center today. I look too twitchy, you’re not supposed to look like you’re expecting to get ambushed. Anyway here it is if you want to look at my busted face for almost five minutes. See if you can spot where I catch sight of my wife!

Bob Dylan Summer is drawing to a close. These shows have brought immeasurable joy. I think theyre on their sixth guitarist now? Listening back, they have all been great and brought something unique to their shows. Old boy is still bringing it.
“You have given audiences something rare: not merely a song, but permission to be unusual in public. That is no small gift. A man who sings in his own register, dresses according to his own delight, and carries a ukulele as though it were a royal scepter may look fragile to some.” Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan is the most bootlegged musical artist in history... I've been collecting Bob Dylan vinyl bootlegs for around 15 years... Here, in no particular order, is my vinyl Bob Dylan bootleg collection as of early July 2026... It's a Bootenanny, no less! #bobdylan #vinylbootlegs #hootenanny
Visited the Library of Congress Performing Arts Reading Room and American Folklife Center. Such an impressive institution, and welcoming of people like me who don't know what they are doing.
Saved: a born-again cult classic. Why all the cool kids love Bob Dylan’s Christian albums notesonpopmusic.substack.com/p/saved-a-born-again-cult-classic
Library of Congress uses Bob Dylan with Doc Pomus photo to announce acquisition of Doc Pomus archive. What could the Dylan content be, if any? newsroom.loc.gov/news/library...
have seen Bob Dylan three times since the pandemic and I think his voice has sounded better each time. he was transcendent tonight, particularly on Black Rider
Obscure YT of the day: in tribute to tonight's Bob Dylan concert I saw, 1987s HEARTS OF FIRE, w/ Dylan, Rupert Everett, and Fiona. Joe Eszterhaus (SHOWGIRLS, BASIC INSTINCT) writes, Richard Marquand (RETURN OF THE JEDI, JAGGED EDGE) directs (his last film). youtu.be/wF34lqJPXH0?...
Bob Dylan at Forest Hills was simply exquisite. I hung on every note and was never not being lifted. Storms held off. Crowd seemed to feel lucky to be there, bc of the weather and also you know Bob Dylan and his incredible band. If I see Saint Annie I’ll tell her thanks a lot.
Ready to die in the Bob Dylan Forest Hills Stadium Tornado. I am the Jokerman.
Do any of you here write new music reviews for any outlets / publications? Preferably with an interest or ear for singer-songwriter, kind of indie, kind of classic feeling stuff? I'm writing a review for Far Out but also keen to get more ears across the album in other places, too
Thanks to my local paper The Ems and journalist Jane Gregory for featuring me, talking about my Bob Dylan book, in their summer issue.
