"Every time I read the output of an LLM, I picture a person talking to me." That is because the software system providing that output is designed to generate text phrased with personal pronouns. A company intends for you to experience the output text just as if a person spoke to you. 🤖 = 🙂 ?

one thing about the stupid hammer approach to RTO is that it polarized a lot of people into believing that everyone should have the option to WFH 100%, which often isn’t in the best interests of the company *or* worker, but i can’t blame anyone who ended up there, the bosses threw the first punch

The financialization of everything has also lead to the appointment of a lot of finance-focused CEOs in non-financed focused industries and it’s having the expected results, I would say.
