Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

It’s a humongous pet peeve of mine. Margins of victory matter a ton more than wins or losses, and a 1pt win and a 1pt loss is essentially the same thing. But obviously people don’t treat it that way. (I’m talking about sports of course)

Regardless of how it turns out NO HE DIDN’T. It’s like saying I have more fingers on my left hand after counting 8 digits from left to right with a ring finger and a pinky still to report.

Whatever the final margin, the funny thing is that AES has absolutely been acting like he believed the polls that were public… and so has Stevens! Really the only indicator I see that anyone didn’t is the Whitmer endorsement, which looks much better now even with an AES win

Ultimately I don’t think it matters, but I do tend to think back on AES criticized Michelle Obama’s “go high” quote, and like while that may play well to a lot of his base, but man you just have to think about how that plays amongst Black voters in Wayne.

The dumbest thing about boots theory is that it’s completely wrong. Buying cheaper boots may cost you an absolute amount more over the long term but it also frees up your upfront money to invest in other things, which buying more expensive boots would not allow you to. Time IS money.

I think the reason people get so obsessed with “boots theory” is because it lets them tell themselves that buying cheaper stuff represents an injustice being done to them. The fancy boots are more cost-effective, but they’re unjustly deprived of that advantage
