Another day, another preventable food safety issue. If only there were some company that did food safety monitoring! Oh well, I guess we do not exist.

I’m not the first person to make this observation but the prevalence of nauseating ai-generated business logos means stuff like this hits CRAZY for me now
Y’all really need to read my book and then publish a retraction for this ignorant garbage. www.amazon.com/dp/B0HH2T3D49

If its bets on AI come good, they could accelerate the technology’s adoption. If they misfire, the cost will fall chiefly on its shareholders. That is how capitalism is supposed to work

Holy shit.
Thanks to those that have purchased the book so far! The royalties from this book will help offset the costs of running this Food Safety startup, but only if a lot of people buy it. I don’t have kids, so consider this my asking you to buy Girl Scout cookies or whatever Boy Scouts sell… popcorn? 😉
Hello everyone. My name is Walt Moorhouse and I am the owner of this company. I also was until recently involved in R&D around AI usage in retail. I wrote a book about why you should NOT go “AI Native”. It explains the downsides of AI and looks at “Ethical AI.” Enjoy! www.amazon.com/dp/B0HH2T3D49
If you want to actually know what you’re talking about when arguing with AI Bros online, this is your ammunition. Everything you need to know to logically dismantle any argument about AI inevitability or how AI can replace people. $3 so that you don’t look uniformed while discussing AI is a steal!

There is a section in this book about why they can’t just “change the AI code so it will not do Bad Things” that should be required reading before BlueSky users are allowed to comment on AI stories.

Our system lets consumers scan a barcode that shows the origin of the beef and every processor it passed through before getting to you, in addition to information about the animal itself and how it was cared for. US Grocers refuse to use it because they do not want you to know! Adopt us, Canada!
This Ontario man thought he bought Canadian beef at Costco. Then he saw the label in the back - Randy Thompson of Gravenhurst, Ont., stopped at a Costco in Orillia this week to pick up some Canadian beef. Instead, he unintentionally bought beef from the United States.

So… are there any countries out there that actually care about food safety and if so how do I move my company there?
Nothing could possibly go wrong.
This may seem self serving, but at what point do we demand e2e food traceability for businesses of all sizes? All the businesses turning me away are “too small” to be required to perform basic safety checks on the food they sell you. I think if you have a retail location you should monitor. Period.
It didn’t have to be this way nypost.com/2026/08/27/l...

It is very discouraging to keep being told by food purveyors that they are “not interested” in a system that would help prevent food borne illnesses during a time when every single day there is a new story about food safety issues. Especially considering we offered it free to some of them. 🤷♂️
Who could have possibly seen that coming? 🤔 #StandWithOurRanchers #AmericanRanchers #AmericanCattlemen #SupportAmericanAgriculture #BuyAmerican
Dolly was a National Treasure and we are all worse off for her passing. Thank you for everything you did for us Dolly, and for being such an inspiration.
Just so you know that I practice what I preach! Here I am using a Meater probe to ensure this Tri Tip roast is cooked to the perfect (and safe!) temperature.
This. I offered to provide *free* food safety monitoring to three local food companies today. They all said they were “not interested” in tools to prevent their customers from getting sick and dying. They do not care about you, only money. Food used to be able connecting people, but no longer.
Food companies wanted deregulation. Now there are dozens of recalls across the country. Mining companies wanted deregulation. Now the black lung rate is at a 45-year high. Financial companies wanted deregulation. Now financial losses to fraud are the highest on record. Noticing a pattern?
Very discouraged today. I had meetings with several well know local Portland food businesses this morning. I offered to give them 100% FREE access to our system and $3000 in free hardware. One said “we don’t have monitor food safety because we are small so we don’t care.” All of them turned me down.
When I started building this platform, (a multi-year journey) I wanted it to become the “TurboTax of FSMA” where farmers and small businesses didn’t need to read and understand hundreds of pages of laws, they just had to answer some questions and enter data (or preferably use our sensors) to comply.
Food contamination should not have a top 10 of the year list, but here we are folks. www.newsweek.com/biggest-fda-...
Biggest FDA recalls of 2026: Taylor Farms, blueberries, eggs and more
Several recalls have been tied to multistate flurries involving cyclospora, E. coli and salmonella.

And this is one of many reasons why we no longer allow Vibecoding at EatSafe.
Unfortunately yes. However, it seems that food safety is not a priority for the current administration.
Are all these food recalls I’m seeing real What can people still eat in the U.S. Is it just oatmeal and okra
The technology to monitor and track food and prevent outbreaks exists, and we make it easy to use. If you are involved in farming or the food chain please email info at eatsafe dot tech for more information on how we can help.
The cyclospora outbreak has reached 13,895 cases across 47 states. The FDA has recalled 1.6 million eggs due to salmonella contamination. Screwworm cases continue to rise. And we’ve just surpassed 2,500 measles cases — breaking 2025’s record. “Make America Healthy Again.”

I love seeing things like this! Our platform includes energy monitoring so we can show usage, but maybe we should add a feature to track solar energy *production* as well… To the code cave!

Dear Canadians, our system not only supports FDA regulatory compliance but FSIS as well. We ingest all US and Canadian food recall data so we have the latest recall information as it is released. If using our inventory system you will automatically be notified of recalls that affect your inventory!
Don't be smug about food-borne outbreaks in the US, Canada. Carney is gutting our capacity to ensure food safety too. 🧵 www.agrunion.com/jobs-cuts-at...
