A recent article in American Educational Research Journal found that a district's frequent and widespread attendance zone boundary changes since 1990 were largely segregative, especially as its court-ordered desegregation plan ended. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.3102/...

The Voting Rights Act helped to ensure when I was growing up in Alabama, my elected school board and city and county leaders were multiracial. I’m grateful for how they shaped & improved my community and my schools and believe we must work hard to preserve these gains other before us worked for.

It appears that my employer, Dartmouth, one of the Trump 9, has said no to the compact. All the better given that our president is cited within it. But she’s saying no. Count the small victories when they come.

So disappointed by this decision to wind down our local NPR station due to fed & univ cuts. I joined several NPR programs over my years here to talk about my research. I’m also frustrated for our community & as a parent who has a kid who adores listening to/ learning from NPR when he’s in the car.
