As we celebrate the 61st anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid, we must also work to protect them. Recent Medicaid cuts put the health and financial security of families, seniors, and people with disabilities at risk. We should be strengthening these programs, not cutting them.

Just in this last week, two more people have been killed by ICE. More families devastated. More communities broken. This out of control isn't making us safer. It's inflicting unimaginable pain and terror. ICE needs to be abolished.

Two ICE agents tracked down a woman *inside a polling place* yesterday. Why? They demanded that she take down an Instagram post in which she named Jonathan Ross as the man who shot & killed Renee Good (after the Star Tribune identified Ross). www.syracuse.com/news/2026/06...

The REST Act would give cities and towns the tools they need to keep rents affordable and stop families from being priced out of their communities. Legislators still have time to act, but they need to hear from us. Tell your legislators to pass the REST Act before they leave Albany: cit.ac/REST-Act

"The message could not be clearer: in Hochul’s NY, big donors and corporate interests come first as the entire budget process reeks of pay-to-play politics." We're calling on the legislature to pass reforms that rein in executive overreach & ensure this kind of abuse of power never happens again.

We're thrilled that the Assembly passed the SUNNY Act today! Shout out to all our members, partners and the bill sponsors for this ☀️☀️☀️ win! We call on @governor.ny.gov to sign the #SUNNYAct immediately so families across NY can plug in, cut costs & cut pollution ☀️ ASAP!

We joined over 40 organizations to urge state lawmakers to pass ratepayer refund legislation forcing utilities to return excess earnings back to ratepayers. With so many families struggling to keep the lights on, New Yorkers deserve that money back in their pockets.

Because of a loophole, ultra-wealthy utilities in NY can earn more than they were regulated to earn, just to kick it back to shareholders and CEOs. As regular NYers struggle to keep up, we need to make utilities give that money back. drive.google.com/file/d/1IMXp...

In 2015, I was a young person looking at politics and wondering whether government could ever truly work for ordinary people. Bernie Sanders changed that for me. I’m honored to be a part of Senator Sanders’ slate and ready to continue fighting for Central New York.

“This budget could have been a turning point. Instead, Gov. Hochul once again chose to maintain a status quo that is failing millions of everyday New Yorkers. It’s not too late for this budget to become one that serves our communities, instead of one that serves the Governor’s special interests."
