We have to hear the monstrous stories over and over again. And survivors have to lay their trauma bare over and over again to get people to care. To believe them. To act. Another horrific aspect of rape culture.

This is another way we live in rape culture; we live in a culture where we have to hear about monstrosity all the time. Sometimes I look at those top stories lists and wonder if I'm the only one who notices that two or three or four of the ten are about violence against women.

Voters in Kansas saw through a blatant political power grab and sent a message — our courts are not for sale.
