Max Miller on why he's staying in the race: "When we go back to 2015 and 2016, & people in the media looked at President Trump, & everyone came out with allegations. Dozens of women, dozens of crazy allegations, dozens of nasty criminal misconduct. And you know what he did? He stayed in the fight."

The narcissist always manipulates the story to blame the victim while acting like they're the victim. It's the most infuriating form of abuse.

Mike Johnson is the most powerful person in the U.S. House, and he has made it abundantly clear that domestic violence isn’t disqualifying. Which makes it very clear that he doesn’t care about domestic violence. And while none of this is surprising, we should not stop being horrified by it.

They made dinner for their abusers because their own damn parents didn’t support them. Their families thought they should just deal with the abuse, because that was more acceptable than leaving. They made those dinners because the people most equipped to help them failed or refused to do so. 5/

I work with women all the time who allow their husbands to rape them to avoid a beating. Who clean and cook and keep their children quiet to avoid them all being killed. So yes.

Scapegoats are emotionally cheaper than systems. Blaming the left asks nothing of you. It feels good and righteous and right. Asking whether your institutions and your party failed you requires dismantling beliefs you have spent your lifetime building. That is emotionally expensive.
