Writer, Human, Author, Friend.

I'm THRILLED about this gorgeous review. What a pleasure to be seen--both myself and my work--so clearly. When people ask me who I hope will read HOLLOWAY, my answer is: Everyone. I want everyone to read my book.

Read @chasingray.bsky.social’s review of HOLLOWAY by @elanakarnold.bsky.social: “Ultimately, this is a coming-of-age novel like no other and a singular achievement for Elana K. Arnold.”

Here is the testimony I offered at Monday's State Board of Educatikn hearing. Under their new, proposed curriculum, the history of my family will be whitewashed behind recognition. I doubt what I said will change minds, but I'm proud to have gone there, and to have said it.

I both think it's important to tell this story but also: I have done so much work SINCE THEN to try and create a world where it doesn't happen again, along with 5,000 other book creators in @authorsabb.bsky.social. And I feel like that's the more important story by a mile.

As you may have heard, Utah banned 4 more books statewide. Keep reading and talking about these books. And join us tomorrow at Elevate Utah and Better Utah's Action Fair at 6 p.m. at Church & State to learn how you can help us fight back against book bans.
