After more than a year or having a phone that hardly types, struggles to answer calls, and regularly restarts when I'm using it, I've finally gotten a new one. This will be wonderful for when I need to use a phone and devastating for all the times I don't need to use a phone.

My good buddy is teaching this course!!! (I would never tell him this to his face, but) Dr. Langan is brilliant and an incredible communicator who has taught me so much. If Jung or Spinoza (or Deleuze, probably) interest you at all, I feel confident it will be worth your time and energy.

I never gave this the promotion it deserved but my wife and I are working through this book (that she will be reading to you, dear listener) and having a discussion about it. First episode is free for all on the patreon and I hope you'll join us for the rest of it.

Bonus: Men, Women, and Chain Saws (1992) - Introduction It is uncommon for a work of critical theory to worm its way into the general zeitgeist but, against all odds, Carol J Clover's book did and now we all know who the Final Girl is. Available for free on patreon.com/nogodspod

Haven't been out in the world in a couple weeks and I'm shocked to discover that fast food restaurants are still putting lettuce on their burgers. Culver's gets the same lettuce as taco bell and has so far not indicated that they've adapted to the reality that it is giving people explosive diarrhea.

the presidency should be a nomad position. presidents are given a walking stick and satchel with hard cheese and stale bread and be sent to wander the country depending on the kindness of citizens to survive. our goal as a nation would be to see the president survives. we won’t be told who they are

the next president should elect to live in a project apartment, like the oracle in the matrix, including having a bunch of snotty kids from the building waiting around for fresh baked cookies. also the next president should be in charge of baking the cookies, and not much else.

The White House was never supposed to be a palace. George Washington and architect James Hoban deliberately rejected the lavish style of European monarchies. Instead, they designed a President’s House that reflected the ideals of a republic: dignified, restrained, and accountable to the people.

Obviously this is a statue and not an AI image but I think this observation by Gareth Watkins is still relevant. The sculpture doesn't need to be beautiful or striking, it can be ugly as shit and still be doing what reactionary art is supposed to do, as long its existence offends the right people

Post by me: "If art is the establishing or breaking of aesthetic rules, then AI art, as practiced by the right, says that there are no rules but the naked exercise of power by an in-group over an out-group. It says that the only way to enjoy art is in knowing that it is hurting somebody."

This monstrosity, the Charlie Kirk Monument, is set to be unveiled in New York’s Times Square on September 10. It was handcrafted by Italian sculptor Sergio Furnari. I give it 20 minutes.

they're terrified of everything beautiful. i'm not sure you can reach into the vulnerable place in your heart where beauty lives and find an expression of charlie kirk, a man who'se life was defined by constant fear and shame and encouraging such in children.

You can and should point out that police killing people daily is the "norm" in America. But that doesn't mean you *accept* the normalization of this violence and the way some people rush to smugly point these things out contributes to collective fatigue. Your horror has been stolen from you.
