Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

I did a short course as a part-time student at the Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art! My whole eight weeks (Fridays from 12-5) was going this copying exercise/bargue. Never done anything like this before and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would!

An old study of Tiepolo's Antony and Cleopatra, at the National Gallery here in Edinburgh! I need to post more so I'm going through the backlog. This was a fun little study to do in the museum, although I was not used to people coming right up behind me to look over my shoulder. 😅
