Last week, I had the privilege of lecturing for my 5th year at the London School of Economics to city leaders from all over the world such as: Australia, Brazil, Zambia and more. The group have come to study at LSE for the Urban95 residence week.

Last week I attended a reception at St. Jame’s Palace during Climate Week that highlighted solutions for the rapid reduction of methane and non-CO2 pollutants. I was able to speak to the King about my campaigning and he continues his support.

A public health campaign is vital to educate the public about the impact of dirty air.

According to child mortality data (2020-2024) 54 Children and Young People died from asthma and anaphylaxis. The deaths were linked to air pollution. According to @ “30,000 people die annually due to air pollution” (2025).

Ella's Law, which would make breathing #cleanair a human right, will not likely have its second reading next week. Yesterday I asked if the Government will make more time in Parliament for this vital Bill to be debated and made law.

Last week in Leeds with the lovely Tracy Brabin Mayor of West Yorkshire. We had a lovely meeting discussing as always air pollution, hopefully the first of many.

I attended the Black History Month celebration at City Hall which was an absolute pleasure. This year's slogan "Standing Firm in Power and Pride" is extremely important in today's political climate and 'pays tribute to the unwavering commitment to progress that defines the black community globally'.

Day 1,2&3 at the Royal Court of Justice: 10 years later, diesel gate has made it to court. The UK government needs to commit to a public awareness campaign on air pollution. Today in Liverpool with health professionals at The Labour Party Conference with the RCPCH; addressing air quality. We discussed the damage toxic air is doing to people, with the knowledge of 97% of addresses in the UK exceeding the WHO recommendations for one of three key air pollutants.

A amazing event hosted by the Schwarzenegger Institute, a great opportunity meeting inspiring people who work towards educating people on the climate crisis: Cesar Aguirre, Dr. Joe Lyou, John Danielson, Nalleli Coco, Monic Uriarte, Taj Ahmad Eldridge, Tara Roth, Andrea Vidauure, Mark Lopez.

Visiting the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator. I was able to meet with Matt Petersen the President and CEO of LACI, and also had the chance to tell Ella's story to some of the leadership team. We were also given a tour of the labs at the LA Krez Innovation Campus by Mike Swords and Nick Albert.

With Damien Egan (former Mayor of Lewisham) in 2022 approving the site for the statue. We look forward to welcoming him back to see the finished project.

Asthma and I are certainly not friends. After all these yrs it’s still a mystery to me. For 6 yrs the week leading up to Ella’s anniversary on Feb 15, her brother was always admitted to hospital. The staff at our local hospital would expect him and get ready for his admission.

We need the air quality displays in public spaces to raise awareness of the impact of air pollution on human health.
