Somehow it just now occurred to me that any project to improve the CPKC mainline through North Burnaby for passenger service means you have to deal with both an active railway *and* an active refinery
No replacement Interstate Bridge without a new electrified mainline for Amtrak Cascades and new regional rail. It’s bad enough when the current route is actually open.

Amtrak is trying to source buses for the other SEA-PDX trains except 500 & 511 which are canceled this week. All trains b/t SEA-VAC (BC) and PDX-EUG are all operating normally. 💚🤎🤍
