One of my favourite people in the FGC as a whole was sweetxjam. I have so many memories of him that I'll never forget, and losing him so early especially breaks my heart. I'm struggling to fully express how meaningful he was to me beyond that - I cannot say it enough that I have so much love for him

america is the only country where "i should be free to indiscriminately murder people with my car" is a bipartisan position held by even so-called leftists

These 8 Democrats voted to pass a national ban on trans teachers and mention of LGBTQ topics. Rep Henry Cuellar (TX) Rep. Don Davis (NC) Rep. Cleo Fields (LA) Rep. Laura Gillen (NY) Rep. Vicente González (TX) Rep. Marcy Kaptur (OH) Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA) Rep. Eugene Vindman (VA)

i answered the last question, rocked asiimov's foundation. i smoked that shit that made arthur see clarke and wrote down the nine billion names of god. i deflowered algernon, tickled leibowitz's can, electric sheep dream of me. dune.

Wolf's Rain is incredible so far, but I feel like if the entire anime is gonna be about wolves you really gotta source some unique sounds for them and not use stock effects? it's jarring to hear generic_animal_roar_2.mp3 so often lmao apart from that though, i'm six episodes in and this bangs.

"System-wide nerf (that the description clearly indicates was targeted at Potemkin (which barely even nerfs Potemkin)) hits Faust instead." counter from 1 to 3 today :) plus more Faust nerfs. and Nago buffs. listen i've been good, Arcsys, i try not to downplay but maybe whining is the key.

Derek yu arguably reinvented the roguelike with Spelunky. I know everyone likes to give Binding of Isaac credit, but Spelunky was the first one I saw that really both a) felt like it had the DNA of Nethack, Crawl, ADoM, ToME, etcetc; and b) supplies its DNA to the modern slate of roguelites.

Apropos of a largely unrelated discussion…you know how there’s always someone saying they’re gonna reinvent a genre? Can anybody think of an example of a genre *actually* being reinvented? I’ve got Tolkien, Star Wars, and, if I’m being super generous, Lovecraft.
