Geologist by day, internet sensation by night. Fueled by sugar and spite. Gorgon. Youtuber & Twitch affiliate. Pink hair, don't care. I was on TV once. (she/her)

Today I'm crying because a woman posted a damaged photo of her older brother who died of polio when he was three to a photoshop restoration group and so many people have come out to help fix it for her and sometimes, sometimes people are ok, you know

The summer after my second year of grad school I did some work with a gifted & talented summer camp on campus. One of the sessions the kids I was working with was about medieval arms and armament and I remember the instructor bringing a polearm in for the kids. Idk why I just remembered that?

Whimsy isn't enough. I need balls-to-the-wall zaniness to come back. Wackiness. I need more than bubble wands and trinkets. I need splats, boings, ahoogas, cartoon mad science labs and rube goldberg machines. I need spring-loaded pie launchers. I need mysterious sentient ooze. I need stronger stuff.

Im very happy with the library lately, I actually won the summer reading challenge already and got my prizes today and I got a cool sticker, a really fancy metal bookmark, a very fun tote bag with a picture of a pteranosaur reading on it, and an enamel pin that said "I dig my library"!

I saw a video the other day about a guy who made a crap remover plug-in for Amazon that would only show like, real products and not weird ass dropship shit from shell companies - but I can't find the link. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hey friends, we're under a tornado watch in NJ. Maybe you are too. If, like me, they are not something you're used to, I've attached some graphics shared by one of the local meteorologists on FB (alt text included)

Do this in a tornado warning:

1. Seek shelter immediately! 2. Go to the lowest level of your home, like a basement. No basement? Go to an interior room without windows on the first floor. Examples include a hallway closet or a space below stairwell.3. Protect your head: wear a helmet or surround your head with pillows

4. Take cover: Shield from falling objects by going under something like a sturdy table
