Watching a friend solve that puzzle in the 90s broke my brain. 30 years later I rebuilt the engine that ran it: in the browser, AI flipping bits, me steering. For fun. There's a question for which I can't give a clear cut answer: Is there any difference between hiring a voice actor and running a voice generated one in terms of "fairness"? Not talking about quality here. In principle I think it's the same, but in practice I feel there must be something more to it.

V1 is usually time based. Get it done by Friday. V2 is often based on bug fixes and feature requests. Lets make it better by adding stuff. V3 tends to be based on experience. Lets remove all the unnecessary stuff and ship what's left.

I still feel a deep sense of calm when I have a tidy operating system freshly installed! That false warming feeling that *this time* I'm not gonna fill it with useless crappy software! 🙃
On a MacBook early 2015 I can only install Yosemite from the net installer. From there if you try to update to anything the 2FA breaks the app store login! Unless you let it fail and add the 2FA at the end of the password. Documented only on a random Reddit post! Nice UX! 🏆
