There is not a creative name big enough for me to still partake in their AI endeavors. The only reason they have their careers is the hard work and contributions of lots of other artists. If they turn their backs on that, then I am uninterested in whatever thing they make moving forward.

im extremely disappointed, especially in his likening the rest of the animation community to a pregnant woman he can just cut out at will to get what he actually wants: a baby. it's a crude analogy but it speaks to a deeper truth about how us creatives are actually viewed by some: an inconvenience.

So he’s basically calling everyone who works on the production inconvenient and troublesome. WOW this guy has been given a bucketload of cash to sellout this bad.

Jorge R. Gutierrez says animating with AI was like “having sex and then they hand you the baby” during his appearance at the AI on the Lot convention. He currently has a project named ‘Punky Duck’ through Amazon MGM’s GenAI Creators’ Fund.
