I went to see The Odyssey at the only IMAX 70mm theater in France (in Montpellier) and oh boy… i’ve seen better 480p screener mp4. What a terrible experience. Room too small for the screen, washed up colors, tiny transparent subtitles, sides of the screen flickering, bad audio. The seats were ok.
Another strong hit for French cinema: "De la comedie Française". Extremely fun, well written, actors are fantastic. It's like "The Studio" (the seth rogen tv show) but for French plays instead of hollywood. In the theaters right now (in France).
Simple rule about sequels: - if the first game was a success and has a huge median playtime: sequel will be commercially viable. - if the first game was a success and has a short median playtime (i.e. the success was mostly "conceptual" / because the game was surprising), the sequel will not sell.

As an adult i appreciate Mario Party but each time i’ve played with kids it’s a complete disaster. The emotional tension for victory mixed with the complete randomness drives them crazy, arrogant, angry, broken. Maybe it works on Japanese kids idk but occidental kids egos are not trained for that.

Went to see Le Vertige from Dupieux on Sunday, and seeing the success of Backrooms at the same time made me realize that indie / experimental successes are quite rare in the movies compared to games. It's like once or twice a year while for games it's once or twice a month (good for the medium imo).
Watched The Lords of the Rings with my daughter and partner and it was a really strong experience. The best! I really want ti make them discover lodoss war but I need a french dub version, please help me find that. It existed in VHS. La guerre de lodoss doublage VF. S’il vous plait !!!! 🙇🙇🙇🙇
Trying out the SFC game and it's neat to have dialogue during the match and really good mode 7 and sprites, and it's quite unique to play a tennis game without fixed camera but behind the player instead.

Played and finished Minishoot Adventures and I highly recommend it! It's a bit like Zelda meet Furi: exploration + dual stick shooter. Very chill, extremely well paced. Great controls, legibility, level design... I could dream of this game with a "Furi" package (character, art, music, story...).
Je précise mais l’idée je l’ai supportée mais elle ne vient pas de moi directement. Kudos team effort game bakers et mighty merch.
J’en remets une couche mais je suis tellement fan que l’idée que j’aimerais que mes jeux préfèrés me la pique (oui je me fais des tshirts de fan moi meme depuis des années….). Ceci dit je pense que c’est mort d’attendre une update de shining force ou phantasy star 3 avec cette feature 🤪
L’histoire dans un jeu c’est plus que le scenario, c’est celle qu’on vit à travers nos interactions, nos péripéties gameplay.
