the game industry still has such a problem with women, except these days, it hides behind plausible deniability. “she was difficult.” (she had burnout) “she wanted too much.” (she asked for mat leave) “but we’re so diverse!” (we hire women and treat them badly, but it’s not our fault they leave)

Hi international friendos, to help you understand what NZ bluesky is talking about, here is a summary: While Prime Minister Chris has survived leadership challenges from MP Chris (today) and MP Chris (recently), this instability bodes ill for election chances against Former Prime Minister Chris

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

Worth mentioning that this new uncle of mine I met yesterday is an elder gay. Over dinner he was passionately talking about how the younger generations of queer folks can't forget how we got our rights in the first place. The conversation feels eerily prescient now

I'm meeting with my uncle for dinner today, which sounds normal, except for the fact I only found out he existed six months ago. I feel so strange, kinda like a shaken can of coke. Life is so weird

feeling hollowed out after the attack at the Berlin Pride march yesterday. My morning was filled with messages to, and from, worried loved ones. There are SO many forces that would love to see the LGBTQIA+ (aka FLINTA*) community silenced. We must take nothing for granted, and continue resisting!
