I used to write things. Now I rant about League of Legends on the LCS broadcast. Unexcited KT Rolster fan and ten of the most boring people you know. Defunct(?) anime blog: https://formeinfullbloom.wordpress.com/ she/her

Back when I used to post jungle pathing spreadsheets more frequently on socials, I would inevitably have (well-meaning!) people ask why I didn't just automate it. Some would offer to automate them for me. I always said no because the process is what helps my brain learn/remember specifics.

welcome to 2020s tech. we got - pervert glasses - wiretap - wiretap - wiretap - wiretap - the button that does nothing - we outta ram - we outta hard drives - we outta graphics cards - ten trillion vibe coded apps that nobody uses - wiretap

NEW: The new Apple Watches double as AI-powered listening bugs for generating convo "recaps" or transcripts of any previous 15 seconds. But fear not, Apple says, this data isn't sent to Apple/gets encrypted, speakers aren't ID'd, and there's a chime for the 15-second thing. @lhn.bsky.social reports:

Today was a weird anxiety day where my brain just kept telling me I was ass over and over again, unlucky. Fortunately having fans back and hanging out with them in the crowd after interviews was awesome and really rewarding, especially today. ^ ^

Yes, Virtue/Moir's Moulin Rouge program is amazing and it makes sense that it's one of the figure skating programs to break containment outside of the figure skating community but also have you considered that it lamentably introduced people to the most cursed figure skating event of all: ice dance

When I was a kid I became obsessed with shipwrecks in Labrador because of this song that my parents would listen to called “The Loss of the Bay Rupert.” Imagine my surprise when I learned that no, not everyone’s parents listened to folk music only.

It's the time of year where I'm constantly asking myself, "Why is THAT song stuck in my head?" and the answer is always "Oh, right I was watching figure skating programs."

Hanahaki is one of those fic concepts that's delicious and rife with angst potential *because* of how easily it falls apart when you apply logic to it. And I'm not talking about the medical impossibility of growing flowers in lungs, I'm saying that the majority of us are getting the damn surgery.

I hope this horrible week teaches us one thing: you will be remembered and loved infinitely more for moments of kindness, friendship, and joy than for power, dominance, or bullying. you have the choice for what sort of life you want to live. make the right one.

trigger's TURNING GIRLS, a nearly zero-budget ONA voiced and iirc scripted (maybe even directed and animated, too?) by the studio's female non-animation staffers turning their own water-cooler conversations into lightly dramatized comedy skits that were, imo, genuinely really fucking funny.

Justin Sevakis, who currently runs AnimEigo, stated that "No company would ever spend money on this" when he wrote about Moshidora for ANN back in 2013 If YOU were Justin, what'd be YOUR Moshidora? What's the most out there, "No one would license this" concept anime that you'd license? Quote away!

Every year some figure skater somehow hears all of the complaints around the world about the latest awful mix of "Bolero" and immediately inspires a fresh wave of complaints with their new heinous "Bolero" mix you didn't even know was possible.
