A beautiful day to be on a train northwards and finalising my paper for the inaugural York #Wayzgoose. I’ll be talking about my experiences of “Printing Wrong” in student letterpress workshops during this three day printing bonanza!

Today I discovered that a letter attributed to a man was actually written by Ann Bathurst, the 17th-century visionary woman I’m researching. 🤩 Archival work might be slow and painstaking but it’s totally thrilling to be going in search of lost voices from the past and finding them! 📚

One of my fave teaching roles is running the King’s Shakespeare in London summer school. Students are soooo engaged this year! Here they are handling some early modern books in the Foyles Special Collections

Big day of printing ahead of next week’s Shakespeare in London summer school at @kingscollegelondon.bsky.social. Always one of my favourite courses!

This petition needs as many signatories as the Exeter one. Please sign and share — don’t let Hertfordshire managers get away with this just because a Russell Group one took the spotlight. #UKHE
Shocking news about redundancies in the Humanities at the University of Hertfordshire, despite their exceptional research activities. I have signed the petition against these actions: it would be great if you would as well: c.org/kDQynZV7J4 @bbkhistorical.bsky.social @bisa-bkk.bsky.social
