I truly feel for kids growing up now who will have to unlearn using AI, but if you've been writing for more than 2 years it is the easiest thing in the world to just Keep Doing The Thing You Did and ignore AI tools!! It makes me feel crazy that people act like this isn't the case!!!

it's actually sad as hell to use AI for research when research is the fun part. you can just email people and call them on the phone and ask them questions about the thing that they have expertise in. you can read documents & learn cool shit. ok now i'm just talking about how being a reporter is fun

The downside of having a predominantly-male viewership base is that any feedback or criticism I get (that could otherwise be fine and valid) is always phrased in the most condescending way possible. Men will really see a young woman and just decide she doesn't know anything, huh

I just rewatched the end of the AOS season 5 finale since I'm writing about it, then resumed listening to my music, and the next song to play was Epic III from Hadestown. These are too many emotions to be having in the middle of a coffee shop

I get why people love the “fuck you” energy to Paramount and Trump in South Park—I do too—but it sucks we’re celebrating an episode that still leans on the f- and r-slurs used by both sides as well a literal reused gay/small dick emasculating jokes. Are we really still stuck in the ’90s?

If your reaction to hearing about a bunch of children dying in a flood in Texas is to make a snappy comment about how red states deserve it then you should fuck off and lock yourself in a closet until you can develop the actual fucking empathy and political understanding of an adult
