It’s been a month since the absurdity of Your Biggest Fan was peeled back to show the reality of Magnus’ assault and I am still thinking about it. I’m not sure I’ve EVER seen a character embodied more than what Sam Reid has done this season.

I just saw someone saying they hated this season of the vampire lestat and their most recent post after that was a crying spongebob gif because they were rewatching toy story 3
budget issues aside, that's why i'll always defend the book deviations. doing a 1 on 1 adaption would please the fans immensely yes, but it would betray the show's spirit and visual artistry they have built. it would be just a book adaption, not a natural continuation of iwtv.

The inevitable “We can’t do X because Y.” Fans won’t like it or the audience won’t get it. It’s why the MCU (and every comic adaptation, frankly) became rote and tired almost immediately.

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve watched a season of television as boldly written as The Vampire Lestat. Unhurried, deliberate, fearless, and so much fun to watch.
Six episodes into The Vampire Lestat and Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are doing work that ought to be nominated for Emmys, Golden Globes, something, anything. The two seasons of Interview With The Vampire were fun, campy as hell, but this is something altogether better and still fun, campy as hell.
watching tonight’s episode really confirmed this opinion. give him every award imaginable
