Reflecting on a year under federal occupation

On August 11, 2025, life in D.C. changed overnight as President Trump announced a federal takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department and the deployment of National Guard troops and federal law enforcement officers throughout the city. In the months that followed, we've also been subject to the ongoing incursion of the Safe and Beautiful Task Force, the summer of America 250, and the continued meddling of the federal government in our local affairs.

This is 20/20 Diane Sawyer levels of investigation. The thread is definitely worth the read. The most eye opening thing about this, is not only are there coaches, but the companies is essentially pyramid marketing. It’s the new “You should be here.”

Hmm. Well I can’t sleep and I love a good investigation so here’s what I found. At the very least, both appear to be real human beings. Marva has posts going back to 2017 and Candas has posts going back to 2013.
