for me impeachment isn't what we should be after. this president and most of his cabinet and staff should be prosecuted for corruption, fraud, war crimes, obstruction, and all the various crimes they have committed. i will only vote for a presidential candidate in 2028 who commits to this.
So should universities like Stanford, UCSF, Hopkins take back people who have presided over an unprecedented destruction of science & public health in the US, particularly Bhattacharya, Prasad & Makary? No. When this is over, there should be no going back to the places they once called home.

So does this argument also apply to tax returns (OK so long as postmarked by April 15), court documents, etc.? Or do we have one standard for ballots, and another for all other government-recognized documents?

It would affect more than a dozen other states, including California and New York.
In 2020, I argued every state must count mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day. Today, the RNC argued no state can. That is how far the right has descended into voter suppression. And it is why I continue to fight.

Today I received FOUR death notifications for people in ICE custody. That's 30 deaths since Trump took office. It's appalling & unacceptable. ICE is required—by law—to ensure detainees are safe & their basic needs are met. It's clear this isn't the case. We NEED answers.
There will come a time when people of good faith are empowered to uphold the law. When that time comes, Illinois will have the testimony and records needed to pursue justice to its fullest extent. The truth of what Trump and his masked agents are doing in Chicago will be told.
