Our newest preprint is now online! We lift up the hood on TET2 mutant clonal hematopoiesis and show that oxidative metabolism is a critical feature of TET2 deficient HSPC - in mice and humans. We also find compensatory control of redox state is a key selective mechanism and potential vulnerability.

Our study examining the role of the nicotinamide salvage pathway in #MDS and its potential for therapeutic exploitation is now available as a preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... Thanks to our collaborators and funding from Evans Foundation and Blood Cancer United!
The Nicotinamide Salvage Pathway is a Metabolic Vulnerability of High-Risk MDS Stem Cells
High-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (HR-MDS) is a malignant clonal disorder originating in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs). The current standard of care for HR-MDS patients is hypomethy...

So proud of Dr. Sweta Patel, who gave a fantastic #ASH25 talk about her science in high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome. Way to go Sweta!
We also want to recognize three past ACS grantees who were invited speakers during marquee symposia during #ASH25: - Dr. Scott Armstrong MD, PhD (ASH-EHA Joint Symposium) - Dr. @ericpietras.bsky.social (ASH Presidential Symposium) - Dr. John DiPersio (ASH Presidential Symposium) Congrats all! 🧪
