Missed out on Gen Con but took a nice family trip up to Lake Plantagenate. Waded in the headwaters of the Mississippi and visited Paul and Babe in Bemidji. Good times.

A foggy lake reflects the opposite shore. In the foreground, tall grass and the silhouette of a pine tree.

This is how our government has been corrupted: 1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office 2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor 3) Donors make huge profit 4) Repeat We must get big money out of politics. It is the root of our dysfunction.

Data decay is huge. I have a dusty l'il website displaying my speculative ("fan") designs for a couple card games. But since google sites was bought by squarespace I can't edit them anymore. It's a different development kit and I am not skilled enough to find where I can access the raw HTML. Sigh.

I just had the worry that people might think I'm a bot since I find interesting people to follow and upvote their little posts. Instead of like, commenting a hundred times a day like a real blueskier. Blueski?

Doing long-overdue web maintenance today. My old site is uneditable, thanks to google domains getting sold to squarespace. It's a teardown/rebuild. I wish there was an easier way, but it probably won't take too long if I can figure out how to get started. Layers upon Layers are intimidating.

Elon Musk’s DOGE cut the federal government’s screwworm monitoring program, which cost $15 million. Now, the Trump administration is preparing to spend $1 billion to combat the screwworm outbreak. Never forget how destructive and downright stupid DOGE was.
